When is the best time of year to start?

Fall and winter. Two practical reasons: sessions are spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart, so a 6-to-8-session course started in September or October finishes just in time for summer. And the laser is set most effectively on untanned skin — exactly what Montreal skin looks like from October to April.

Starting in summer is still possible (we adjust the settings and you keep the treated area out of the sun), but if you can choose, fall is the most cost-effective moment.

How do you save money on laser hair removal?

Beyond the packages, four choices genuinely lower the total bill:

1. The right technology from the start. A laser that doesn’t suit your skin gives partial results that stretch into extra sessions. The Triton picks between Alexandrite, Diode and Nd:YAG for your skin type — maximum effect per session, so fewer sessions overall.

2. Consistency. Hair grows in cycles and the laser only works during the active growth phase. Missing a treatment window means paying for a session that catches up instead of moving forward. A realistic schedule you actually keep beats a slightly cheaper per-session rate.

3. Be wary of “cheapest”. Overly cautious settings or an undertrained operator produce weak sessions — which you end up paying for again elsewhere. Look at the laser used, reviews that mention results, and whether prices are published before the consultation.

4. Preparation. Area shaved 24 h before, no sun for two weeks, no waxing or plucking: a session on well-prepared skin is a fully effective session, not a trial run.

The full math — per area, over 6 to 8 sessions, and against waxing or razors — is on the laser hair removal prices page.
